About the Group
Parenting is hard work, but you don't have to carry it alone.
Parents Helping Parents is a 3-week series designed to help you find community, connect with other parents, and learn practical strategies to bring more peace to your home.
This group utilizes Positive Discipline—an approach focused on being both kind and firm at the same time. You will learn how to maintain mutual respect with your children while establishing clear, consistent boundaries.

About Alli
Alexandrea (Alli) Perez is an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist who sees clients of all ages, and provides therapy for individuals, couples, and families. She specializes in working with issues of race, identity, and culture through Child-Centered Play Therapy, relational, and attachment-based modalities.
She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Arizona State

University, then went on to earn her Master’s of Arts in Counseling, with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy, from Palo Alto University. She is also a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, as well as an Accredited Triple P Practitioner.
Previously an elementary school teacher, she went on to work as a Mental Health Clinician at a non-profit organization serving youth of all ages from the same community she used to teach in, from toddlers to teens, in both Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. For the past few years, she has worked with individual adults, couples, and families in various private practice settings.
