TL;DR (too long; didn't read)
Positive Discipline by Jane Nelson
You want to be a patient, supportive parent, but you don't have time
to read a 300-page parenting book cover-to-cover.
This three-part live virtual series breaks down Jane Nelsen’s classic book, Positive Discipline, into digestible, actionable insights you can start using immediately.
Rooted in Adlerian psychology, Nelsen’s model moves away from both punitive measures (punishment, time-outs, guilt) and permissive approaches (rewards, enabling) to focus on long-term character development, mutual respect, and emotional regulation.
Whether you have read the book, started it and put it down, or never picked it up at all, this series delivers the key takeaways without the reading homework.
